With everything that has happened in 2020, prepare to have a variety of opportunities and industries to choose from. There are so many positions that are being released that are needing to be filled, that it is sometimes difficult to keep up. Work with a staffing partner to better understand and look at all of your options when making a decision. Depending on when you are looking, you may have to make a choice for the position you choose!

Expect virtual opportunities

It is no secret that virtual has become a new way of life in 2020. There are many positions that are coming to fruition and need to be filled, however many questions arise around availability, time frames and what to expect. In both the interviewing stage and employee onboarding-, you may find that virtual opportunities are present now more than ever.

Expect a Rise in Manufacturing

Manufacturing is expected to continually rise over the remainder of 2020, with an increased focus on Automotive and demand-focused manufacturing needs. It is important to understand that the market will continue to grow, as the economy continues to rebuild.

Expect the requirement of PPE

It is likely that it will be required to wear and provide personal protective equipment for the coming months and remainder of 2020. Businesses and employees will likely be expected to wear PPE such as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to keep the spread of COVID contained. Employers are also mandating temperature screenings when entering the workplace. Be prepared to have your temperature taken regularly to ensure safety.

Safety Expectations

This may go without saying, but everyone is being extra cautious since COVID has happened. Employers are taking extra precautions with employees by providing staggered or shift scheduling, opportunities to work remotely if applicable and extensive cleaning procedures. Even with these safety protocols, the market is still anticipated to rise in the fall- creating an open and variable market.
