Position Title: Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Position Summary: This position is responsible for the daily processing and movement of products through the factory. The role involves moving freight, stock, or other materials either by hand or using equipment, adhering to standardized banding procedures to meet customer requirements. Each shift is responsible for proper banding and packaging.

Duties:

  • Material Handling:

    • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, or containers, either by hand or using equipment.
    • Load and unload materials efficiently.
    • Stock incoming and returned materials as required.
  • Packaging:

    • Pack goods following specific instructions and procedures.
    • Band materials per client's standardized banding procedures to meet customer requirements.
    • Ensure each shift performs proper banding and packaging.
  • Maintenance:

    • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
    • Wear necessary protective gear including earbuds, eyewear, sleeves if needed, and steel-toe boots.
  • General Duties:

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Ability to work in a 65-68 degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
    • Experience as a Forklift Operator.
    • Familiarity with scanning equipment.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand on a concrete floor and work in varying conditions (cold, heat, or humidity) for extended periods.
    • Ability to crouch, kneel, crawl, and twist for lifting purposes.
    • Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects regularly.
  • Teamwork:

    • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively between shifts.
    • Ability to package parts per customer procedures to meet customer requirements.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment typically involves working in temperatures of 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including earbuds, eyewear, and steel-toe boots.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with potential for overtime.
  • May require working shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.

  • 1st shift Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm & Madatory OT Saturdays - 8hrs 
  • 2nd shift Monday- Thursday 3pm-1:00am Mandatory OT Fridays 3pm-11:30pm
  • Pay Rate DOE $17-20/hr
