Automation Electrician/ Control Panel Builder & Machine Wiring Specialist!
Daytime work schedule - M-Fr , direct-hire position paying 28-30/hr DOE.

Are you skilled in control panel building, machine wiring, pneumatics, and hydraulics for custom equipment? We're looking for a motivated professional to lead and build small to medium-sized projects, power on, debug, and troubleshoot machine processes as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Building: Construct equipment according to supplied drawings and specifications.
  • Project Meetings: Attend and contribute to project meetings.
  • Lead/ Guide Resources: Lead and guide resources on a project.
  • Estimate Reviews: Review and update estimates to complete (ETCs).
  • Rework & Redlines: Provide rework and update prints with redlines.

Duties Include:

  • Analyze blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine cabinet dimensions, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and programmers to resolve wiring or assembly issues.
  • Provide input on basic component purchases (wire-way, terminal blocks, etc.).
  • Panel Build:
    • Client out control back panel hole locations.
    • Drill and tap holes as needed.
    • Mount DIN rail, wire ducts, and direct-mounted components.
    • Mount components to DIN rail.
    • Wire devices according to control prints.
    • Cut out device locations for mounting (disconnects, A/C units, HMIs, etc.).
    • Mount completed back panels into cabinets.
  • Machine Wiring:
    • Wire from controls cabinet to machine-mounted devices.
    • Include machine-based distribution blocks.
    • Plumb pneumatic devices to machine-mounted cylinders.
    • Dress in cabling and tubing to ensure proper machine operation and avoid interferences.
    • Verify initial power-on device operation.
  • Machine Debug:
    • Aid with machine debug, including power-on I/O checks.
    • Set up and align sensors (prox switches, photo eyes, hall-effect sensors).
    • Wire temporary jumpers and systems for debug or troubleshooting.
    • Observe machine operation during early debug.
  • Project Install: Required to travel for project installation.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep the work area clean.
  • Plumbing in Automation experience is a plus.
