Schedule: 1st shift, M-Thursday  CNC Mill Machinist

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC Machinist to join our highly skilled team. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing aerospace components with utmost precision and efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components in compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining operation.
  • Conduct precision measurements and inspections using various metrology tools to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to provide input on manufacturability and process improvement.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate machining processes to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancement and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred.
  • 3-5 years proven experience as a CNC Machinist in an aerospace or precision machining environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines) using industry-standard software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
  • Familiarity with metrology tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and experience in conducting precision measurements and inspections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machining processes as needed.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
