Job Title: Molding Operator
Overview: The Molding Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality parts in alignment with established standards. This position involves operating molding machines, conducting visual inspections, packaging products, and maintaining records of daily production. The Molding Operator must adhere to quality standards outlined in the Quality Plan and follow company procedures and ISO 9001/ISO 13485 quality system requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections on all parts according to the Quality Plan.
- Operate assigned molding machines efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize sidecutters/CNC mill for appropriate tasks.
- Package products according to specified requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the molding cell.
- Monitor and refill material hoppers as needed.
- Keep accurate documentation of rejected parts and hours worked.
- Act as a relief or backup operator when necessary.
- Adhere to company documentation and quality system requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Additional Duties (if applicable):
- Serve as a material handler in the molding process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in molding or optical cosmetic inspection preferred.
- Must possess good visual acuity.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 quality system requirements is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving objects up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional loud noises.
