Nesco Resource has an exciting opportunity at a well known company in the health care industry. This position will further your skills in compliance, medical billing, customer service, and Health Management. If you have any experience in these or would like to grow in the industry apply today!
In this position you will be the point person for managing insurance authorizations/referals. You will obtain authorizations from providers and payers while ensuring all reimbursement requirements are met. You will also deal with any questions/concerns they might have related to insurance coverage and reimbursement requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Verify patient insurance elgibility
- Interview patients to apprise them of their insurance benefits, contingent on the type of procedure/level of care with a goal of securing the collection of patient financial obligations / secure payment arrangements
- Contact provider/payer to botain prior authorization
- Monitor patient waiting areas for extended wait times and patient related problems
- Devlop knowledge of all medications / procedures performed and payer authorization requirements for each
- Advise providers and clinical staff when issues arise relating to obtaining prior authorization
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma/GED equivalent required
- Successful completion of an AAS in health administration, business, finance, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding desired
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer regulations desired
- Excellent computer, phone and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to type 60 WPM
- Strong organization skills required
Salary Range:
This positon pays $17.25 - $25.87 per hour
Shift Time:
8AM - 4:30PM
