We're seeking an Experienced Automotive Mechanic to join an innovative Automotive Retrofitting client in Detroit, MI. If you have a knack for diagnosing mechanical issues and love solving complex problems, this Contract-to-Hire role is for you.
What We Offer:
- Flexible Shifts: 1st shift (7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday) with opportunities for overtime. Enjoy 5 to 12-hour shifts based on workload.
- Pay: Competitive and negotiable based on your experience ($22 to $25/hr).

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues using both visual inspection and diagnostic tools.
- Perform retrofitting and repairs on new vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts to guarantee correct functionality.
- Tackle tasks like AC repair, brakes, rotors, suspensions, transmissions, electrical work, and more.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive Automotive Repair Experience: Whether you're a Certified Mechanic, Master Mechanic, or have equivalent professional experience.
- Full set of tools with a locking toolbox.
- Advanced knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, steering, electrical components, and more.
- ASE Certification and vocational/technical training are a plus!
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
