Accounts Payable Manager
 
Nesco Resource, a leading national staffing firm, has partnered with a global manufacturing company to assist in their search for an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager.
 
Position Overview:
The AP Manager will report directly to the Global Controller and will oversee the Purchase-to-Pay process.  This role is critical in managing a high-volume AP portfolio with an open balance of approximately $45 million, supporting 2,500 suppliers and processing 6,000 invoices per month across ten legal entities. The AP Manager will lead a team of six, including three AP Analysts and three AP Specialists.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the AP department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of both PO-based and non-PO-based invoices.
  • Oversee supplier onboarding, payment term application, and vendor management, ensuring service excellence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and China Sourcing Offices to maintain strong vendor relationships and efficient payment processes.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, ensure alignment with treasury cash pooling needs, and manage payment schedules to optimize liquidity.
  • Direct the month-end AP close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial coding in the Trial Balance.
  • Set performance goals for the team, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness metrics, such as invoice processing speed and payment timeliness.
  • Drive process improvements, such as payment optimization, automation of Concur reporting, and system upgrades.
  • Manage query responses via FreshService, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure timely employee reimbursement through Concur.
  • Support internal and external audits and participate in cross-functional projects.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
  • 10 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility.
  • 4 years in a leadership role within AP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • ERP experience required; Oracle experience preferred.

 
$150-170k 10-15% Bonus
