Engineering Technician
Our client is a cutting-edge Series A company focused on revolutionizing the automotive robotics/automation space.
Summary
This direct hire engineering technician is very hands-on and loves assembling, testing, and debugging complex technical products. The ideal candidate has worked with custom mechatronics, automation and robotics products in a Prototype /Lab/ R&D fast-paced environment. The person that will thrive in this role has experience working on many small projects in parallel and combines their generalist skill sets with an understanding of what they need experts and trade specialist support to complete.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an engineering lab setting.
- Experience with automation/robotic assembly
- Expert in electro-mechanical assembly, even in conditions where documentation is limited.
- Experienced working with hand tools and power tools (arbor press, drill press, hand drill, saw, rivet gun). - Experience generating basic technical documentation such as cable drawings, assembly instructions, and bill of materials.
- Experience with custom cable fabrication.
- Experience performing basic product testing and data collection.
- Machining experience is a plus.
- Automotive experience is a plus.
- Prior experience running/managing a lab is a plus.
- Prior purchasing experience is a plus.
