1st Shift Press Setup/Operator

PAY: 19.40/HR
SHIFT: : 6:45am - 3:15pm Monday to Friday
Essential Functions
- Prepare press
- Set die in press
- Set coil and feed length
- Run parts for inspection approval
- Monitor press
- Document statistical process control
Prepare Press
- Unbolt/ unclamp die
- Remove scrap and lubricant from press
- Empty and clean buckets and barrels
- Clean bolster
- Repeat with each run
- Adjust arm jerkers
- Push die on to the bolster
- Adjust die to the center
- Push button to position ram
- Bolt/ clamp upper half of die to ram (use socket wrench)
- Check die alignment
- Bolt/ clamp lower half of die to the bolster
- Load coil (hoist or chain fall) on to reel or in cradle
- Remove the banding on the coil by cutting with metal cutters
- Feed strip into the press feed
- Activate switch, advance coil through the die
- Install lube line, air blow offs, and chutes
- Run press
- Check parts of gauging/ measuring
- Obtain inspection approval
- Check for proper feed
- Lubricate as necessary
- Check chutes, bolts, and parts being blown out
- Pick up part
- Measure part
- Return part to bin
- Record measurements
