This supervisory position will be primarily responsible for the loading and unloading of palletized products onto trucks by forklift.
Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload palletized products from tractor-trailers using forklifts.
- Prepare, present and/or approve bills of lading and shipping documents.
- Perform visual quality checks of materials prior to loading or unloading trucks.
- Report quality variances to the proper channels.
- Organize and secure raw materials and packaging materials in a safe manner.
- Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.
- Weigh products and/or loads and record weight.
- Consult and coordinate with manager, employees, and other departments regarding loading and unloading operations.
- Inspect and report any faulty equipment, damage to racks or product, or other potential safety hazards.
- Complete all paperwork referencing our inbound loads and outbound loads. Example: processing BOL's, Packing Slips and Load in/out sheets.
- Proficient basic math skills.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Valid Driver's License (CDL Class A preferred or willingness and ability to secure Class A CDL within 3 months).
- Previous Shipping/Receiving Experience
