Nesco Resource is seeking kitchen assistants for our client in Lake Orion that produces a Michigan snack mix brand sold regionally in independent grocers. Our recipes started with our founder's grandmother. We need steady hands to help package products and ship orders.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 30-40 hours a week. Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour, based on SERV Safe Food Handler certification status and experience.
What you need:
SERV Safe Food Handler preferred, or earn it within 14 days of starting
Food service or warehouse experience preferred, not required
Basic math skills and close attention to detail
Ability to follow packaging, food safety, and shipping procedures
Accurate, steady, and on time
Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours with regular bending, reaching, and twisting
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. repeatedly

Package and seal snack mix to recipe and weight specs
Label, case, and stage finished product
Pick, pack, and ship online and wholesale orders accurately
Follow quality control and food safety steps, including gloves and hairnets
Receive and stock supplies and ingredients
Load and unload cases and materials
Keep the workspace clean, organized, and food-safe
Track counts, support inventory, and flag low supplies
