Job Summary Responsible for performing day to day tasks in receiving, stocking, order picking and distribution based on established procedures and guidelines for all items which are inventoried and that move through the Distribution Center. Supervisor Manager, Mercy Co-worker Stores

Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to system-wide safety regulation.
  • Assesses safety needs and provides for a safe and clean environment in offices and common areas and areas of CDC.
  • Observes changes or unusual occurrences at the CDC and reports them immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follows policy/procedure for infection control and completion of incident reports.
  • Follows confidentially policies/procedures.
  • Coordination of Services:
  • Work with couriers on pick-up needs from departments.
  • Meets the customers expectations regarding order preparation, receiving and distribution ensuring accuracy of items being shipped/received and completeness of paperwork.
  • Work closely with the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Manager in resolving receiving issues and discrepancies.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by responding to schedule changes, altered assignments, or adverse conditions in a positive, productive manner.
  • Primary Aspects:
  • Generate shipping label and/or delivery document for product, attachment of paperwork and actual shipment of merchandise via freight carrier.
  • Operates forklift and picking equipment safely.
  • Ensures stored equipment is maintained at the highest possible standards of cleanliness and organization. Follows the procedures and provisions developed by Bulk Stores and Mercy Security staff to ensure controlled access to equipment storage and to minimize losses to pilferage, deterioration, or damage.
  • Assesses available storage space, and in a problem-solving capacity, coordinates activities necessary to resolve storage problems by freeing up available space.
  • Accurately receive all merchandise in a timely manner.
  • Accurately pick and stage all outgoing orders for timely delivery to customers.
  • Consolidates all problem receipts in one staging area for immediate resolution.

 

  • Responsible for receiving items, confirming package contents against packing slip(s) and entering receipts into the hospital information system.
  • Responsible for filling customer orders and staging in the appropriate area.
  • Responsible for inventory management including restocking, stock rotation, cycle counts, etc.
  • Perform minor housekeeping tasks such as sweeping floors, straightening stock and discarding trash daily .
  • Communication Management:
  • Communicates and applies Health Care/CDC policies to co-workers.
  • Maintains high standards of customer service.
  • Personally, assist customers with all issues.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with other professional staff, visitors, customers and co-workers.
  • Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette and competencies in utilizing communication equipment.
  • Participates in unit activities, committees, teams while promotes unit operations.
  • Technology:
  • Maintains current knowledge and performs office specific technological functions of computer, fax, copier, etc.
  • Demonstrates competence in Microsoft office software applications.
  • Demonstrates competence in PMM.
  • Ability to implement and learn other software application as applicable

  • Proven attention to detail, particularly numbers, required. Possess the ability to work in a team environment.

EDUCATION

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: Typing and general computer familiarity to include data entry helpful PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs.; can bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time. Physical demands are push, pull, and grip up to 30 lbs.
