Nesco has partnered with a local HVAC company seeking Service Technicians for a Direct-Hire position located on the west side of Columbus! Servicing their commercial and industrial customers in Central, Northeast, and Southeast Ohio.
Typical workday is 8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break. Overtime opportunities are available.
Position Summary:
- Service technicians perform preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment start up
- Periodically assists with equipment replacement or installation for technicians
- Utilize a digital work order system that captures voice, photos, and video to record equipment condition, deficiencies, repair recommendations, and work order data, virtually eliminating the need for traditional work orders.
- Use of Discovery Sound Technologies (DST) tool to capture sound signatures associated with mechanical and electrical equipment components aids in the performance of preventive maintenance commitments by adding a predictive maintenance component
- Service technicians receive company provided uniforms, a company vehicle which they take home safety equipment, specialty tools, and personal tool replacement.
- Each technician receives a company cell phone, and iPad or Android tablet with a data plan so they may access company resources, industry resources, and manufacturer resources. Service technicians use these devices to record their work via our Vision software Remote Field Service application.
Training:
Technicians are offered a minimum of two weeks of formal training through multiple
methods which include:
1. Manufacturers' factory training
2. Continuing education through local vendors and in-house training
3. Online training
4. On the job training
This company offers tuition reimbursement for industry related courses taken outside normal business hours.
