1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians needed for a state of the art facility, having experience preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Job Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the facility
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any potential issues
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly
- Diagnose problems, analyze root causes, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities
- Identify and address potential hazards or unsafe conditions promptly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus
- Experience as a maintenance or facilities technician, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Able to make decisions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Have a working knowledge of at least two of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity
- Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Electrical/ladder logic skills
- Understanding of electric motors, starters, switches, photocells, etc.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
- Ability to write parts requests, complete work orders and write corrective work orders
- Understanding of preventive maintenance
- Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements
- Ability to always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Computer literacy
- Must be able to read and write English
- PLC skills a plus
