Overview: We are seeking a Test & Service Manager to lead the execution of projects during the Test phase, focusing on minimizing downtime and meeting budgetary goals. This role also oversees field service projects from the home office, including commissioning events for both legacy and new capital equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Test & Service Group, fostering a culture of urgency and quality.
- Develop strategies to streamline machine testing processes.
- Provide technical assistance and training for Test & Service personnel.
- Report project status updates to the Operations Manager and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to address machinery issues and customer complaints.
- Work with Senior Engineers to enhance training and efficiency for field engineers.
- Assist in resource planning and budget management to ensure projects stay on track.
- Maintain and update documentation, including SOPs and non-conformance reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent experience (5 years).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Understanding of quality assurance standards and business project requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP and CRM systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years in a Quality Department related to industrial equipment and testing.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, Drives, and safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E).
- Experience with ISO 9001 certified environments and industrial equipment maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working from ladders and climbing onto machines, adhering to safety standards
