Senior Project Manager II
Location: Nashville, TN
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager II will be responsible for leading the implementation of contact center technology across various non-clinical business units (Scheduling, Pre-Authorizations, Customer Service, Eligibility Services). This role focuses on supporting business units with operational requirements, process changes, end-user testing, rollout planning, and communication. While the project involves technical components, the primary focus will be on operational needs. The Senior Project Manager II will coordinate activities between internal development teams, technical project managers, and vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple medium to large, complex projects across diverse teams and locations, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for assigned projects, securing resources and applying Parallon Project Services project controls and standards.
- Actively communicate with stakeholders to manage relationships and accomplish project activities.
- Develop strategic project documents including Project Charters, Education, and Communication plans.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, cross-project dependencies, and report project status.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Mentor staff in applying project management controls and facilitate decision-making processes.
- Author and facilitate project implementation documentation, including toolkits and migration schedules.
- Lead or coordinate project planning, staffing, supply management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and people management.
- Ensure project results meet technical, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
Special Skills:
- Project Management Experience: 5 years of managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services or information systems.
- Management Experience: 2 years preferred, especially within healthcare.
- Healthcare Experience: Knowledge of hospital systems, revenue cycle operations, or contact center operations is a plus.
- Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile and traditional project methodologies.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and change management skills.
- Contact Center Operations: Familiarity with contact center operations is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Project Management: Effective use of Parallon project controls to manage project scope, plan, and performance.
- Organization: Ability to multitask and manage resources effectively.
- Communication: Adapt communication style to gain stakeholder acceptance and facilitate discussions.
- Execution & Financial Analysis: Skilled in project budget management and tracking.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools. Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or MS Planner.
- Leadership & Facilitation: Ability to mentor staff, facilitate decisions, and manage people across various organizational levels.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
- 5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, supply chain, or financial services is a plus.
- Experience with HCA, HealthTrust, or Parallon is beneficial.
Certificates/Licenses:
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- LEAN or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
