Our client has immediate needs for first, second, and weekend shifts for the following two roles:
Mechanical Assembler
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for building and assembling switchgear housing, as well as installing electrical components according to blueprints. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive and productive attitude towards achieving plant targets, focusing on reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Construct switchgear housings from the ground up, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to install copper and aluminum conductors using hand tools and torque wrenches.
- Consistently and safely lift and move objects weighing 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and keep production on target.
- Complete routine operations tasks related to copper and sheet metal, ensuring units meet production goals.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to identify and resolve performance gaps using collaborative data and skills.
- Accurately document and report production quality requirements, including any performance gaps, ensuring all relevant information is recorded.
- Support general engineering and electrical activities as required.
- Ensure accuracy in maintaining production records, including quantities and types produced.
- Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in roles such as Electrical Helper, Auto Mechanic, or Industrial Mechanical positions.
- Ability and willingness to consistently lift 50 lbs, carry objects, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and use tools requiring manual dexterity.
- Flexibility to bend, twist, squat, and climb freely.
- Preferred: Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with LV/MV Switchgear or control panels, including wiring installation and frame building.
Wiring Technicians
The Wiring Technician will assemble and wire electrical components for Power Management products. The role requires hands-on work with various tools to ensure precise installation and reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize hand tools for cutting, stripping, and connecting control power wiring to specifications.
- Operate power tools for drilling, cutting, tapping, and riveting tasks related to electrical assemblies.
- Collaborate with a team to install wiring systems and platforms within electrical switchgear.
- Interpret and follow detailed electrical diagrams and schematics to complete tasks accurately.
- Uphold safety, quality, and production standards while working efficiently.
- Keep the work area organized and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the management team.
Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical wiring and assembly.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
