Heavy Equipment Mechanic

What You'll Do:

  • Inspect, Troubleshoot, and Diagnose: Use your skills to identify and resolve issues with construction and crushing/screening equipment from top brands like LIEBHERR, ROADTECH, GOMACO, MANITOWOC, GROVE, and more.
  • Perform Repairs: Take charge of repairing customer or company-owned machines, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Keep equipment running smoothly by performing regular upkeep and maintenance.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instruments to detect and solve faults in electronics, hydraulics, power trains, engines, and overall machine performance.
  • Hands-On Work: Occasionally operate machines to determine repair needs or assess repairs. Disassemble and assemble machines and components with precision, following manufacturer specifications.
  • Technical Mastery: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out required maintenance and service.
  • Resourceful Problem-Solving: Research repair needs and order parts as necessary to get the job done right.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required, with additional technical, vocational, or trade school education being a plus. You should have three to five years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing heavy equipment.
  • Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with basic tools and tool usage is essential, and basic welding skills are a plus.
  • Fast-Paced Adaptability: You can thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: You have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), good work habits, and the self-motivation to perform at your highest level.
  • Willingness to Travel: The role requires 25% or more travel, giving you the opportunity to see different sites and tackle diverse challenges.
