Nesco Resource is in search of an Estimator to join our client's team at their Milford, CT location. Seeking candidates with relevant experience in estimating or manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes based on specifications.
- Utilize historical data and collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine estimates.
- Support the engineering team by gathering and analyzing relevant data from drawings and specifications.
- Work with project managers, engineers, and customer service teams to ensure project costs are accurate and within budget.
- Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor and equipment.
- Assist in preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation in estimating processes.
- Perform other duties as required by the VP of Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and a passion for numbers.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost estimation preferred.
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SyteLine is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related field is preferred.
- Work Environment: Office and manufacturing setting
- Physical Demands: Sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Travel: Minimal local travel may be required

- 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with occasional overtime
- Salary range: up to $50K – 65K
