Our client is seeking a strong organized and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving - Warehouse Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving of products stored at their facility. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure the accurate and timely handling of shipments and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping Operations

  • Receive shipping papers from CSR/Logistics via email, acknowledging receipt promptly.
  • Stage products for shipment and coordinate with the Quality Checker to verify product details (e.g., name, lot number, quantity).
  • Prepare shipments by creating bills of lading and repacking products into new containers if needed.
  • Palletize products and prepare them for loading, using shrink wrap as necessary.
  • Coordinate with CSR/Logistics regarding any issues with product location or discrepancies in lot numbers.
  • Ensure all required documentation is included with each shipment and send a signed Bill of Lading to CSR/Logistics daily.
  • Record shipment details in the Shipping Log and file shipping packets in designated folders.
  • Stage products for UPS/FedEx shipments, verify lot numbers with the release notice, and place them in designated areas.

Truck Inspections

  • Perform inspections on incoming and outgoing trucks, documenting observations. Report unacceptable conditions to CSR/Logistics.

Receiving Operations

  • Unload incoming pallets and stage them in the receiving area.
  • Verify received products with Quality Checker to ensure they match receipt paperwork. Report discrepancies to CSR/Logistics.
  • Document and scan proof of receipt, ensuring proper record-keeping in the Receiving Log.
  • Handle customer returns and document the condition of returned products for Quality Assurance review.
  • Report and document any damaged products received.

Warehouse Duties

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring products are staged for manufacturing as indicated.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move products.

Quality Control Support

  • Assist Quality Control with the sample retention program by staging containers for testing and screening containers using the metal detector. Regularly perform calibration checks.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Valid driver's license and forklift operation experience required.
  • Highly reliable, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Technologically proficient, especially in MS Office, email communication, and UPS/FedEx shipping software.
  • Experience with IFS is a plus.
