Job Summary:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring that all products are properly stored and accounted for. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming inventory and supplies.
Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments.
Stock shelves and automated machines.
Unload and put away deliveries.
Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
Perform regular inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of records.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products.
Match the correct product with the correct position in racking.
Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.
Operate equipment according to training provided
Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Notify the Inventory Manager of shortages and inconsistencies.
Qualifications:
0 – 2 years of work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills.
Prior experience in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to identify defective products.
Update the inventory database using an RF scanner.
Ability to reconcile inventory.
Must be able to read inventory lists and tags.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand and bend for long periods in a fulfillment center environment.
Ability to operate a pallet jack (training provided).
Working Conditions: The Inventory Clerk will primarily work in a warehouse or storage facility. The position may require working in various weather conditions and involve exposure to dust and other airborne particles.
