Title: Inspector/Packer
Location: Ashland, OH
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Shift: 3rd shift
We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable inspector packers for a leading liquid pouch manufacturing company. As an inspector/packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our liquid pouch products before they are shipped to our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect and pack liquid pouches according to established guidelines and standards while maintaining efficiency and meeting production targets.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of liquid pouches to ensure they meet quality standards, including checking for defects, leaks, or any other irregularities.
- Verify the accuracy of product labels, codes, and other packaging information.
- Pack liquid pouches into appropriate containers or cartons, following specific packing instructions.
- Seal and label packed products accurately and securely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and 5S Standards.
- Report any product defects or packaging discrepancies to the supervisor or quality control department.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably with liquid pouches or similar products, is a plus but not required.
- Longevity in prior roles is highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or irregularities in products.
- Basic understanding of packaging processes and equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and GMPs.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends or overtime if required.
