Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Environment & Agriculture business. This position can be in Columbus, OH or Norwell, MA.
The Quality Assurance Specialist s primary responsibilities are to assists Quality Assurance management in ensuring that programs/activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations/standards and quality assurance plans of government agencies and *** policies by performing assigned audits and inspections.

The candidate will work with environmental scientists and database developers to review data tables that were acquired, assembled, converted and formatted for assimilation into a database. The candidate should be very comfortable with Microsoft Excel and have a basic understanding of chemistry.

Furthermore, the candidate will review data provided by the *** Norwell Laboratory, an environmental chemistry laboratory, offering ultra-trace analytical chemistry specifically established for supporting risk-based site assessment and risk management programs. The laboratory is accredited under both the NELAC Institute Standard and the Department of Defense/Department of Energy Quality System Manual for PFAS, PCBs, PAHs, pesticides, and new and emerging contaminants.


Responsibilities:

Conducts work within prescribed budget or discusses with management prior to conducting task.
Plans and conducts assigned audits and report reviews and generates reports of results.
Performs assigned internal facility and technical (critical phase) inspections and desk audits to assess compliance with regulatory or project-specific requirements.
Reports findings to management and verifies responses address deficiencies.
Assists with auditing records and reports for compliance to stated requirements.
Develops or assists in the development of procedures and maintains controlled documents.
May verify the effectiveness of corrective action.


Key Qualifications:

Associates degree in a related field with one year of technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
