Sheeting Inspectors are responsible for conducting a thorough inspection of fabric panels before packaging for delivery.
Responsibilities:
Handle all sheets of fabric checking for defects.
- Coordinate with other inspectors who work with you through the shift as inspectors work in pairs most of the time.
- Identify defects & shade variances in the materials and pass an annual color test.
- Document any defects on fabric panels and in tablet/computer.
- Pick up delicate fabrics wearing gloves, inspect both sides by turning from back to front and sort fabric panels by quality.
- Nonconforming materials (NCM) are labeled for possible reworks.
- Box fabric panels for shipment using a handheld scanner.
- Label boxes
- Use mylar (template) and tape measures to confirm dimensions. Must be able to read a tape measure.
Excellent eyesight and attention to detail. Must be able to pass a color test annually. This position requires standing thougout the shift. Forklift experience is not required, training is available. Punctuality, good attendance, basic computer skills, good communication, and teamwork are necessary.
