Nesco Resource has partnered with a well-established manufacturer and are currently interviewing for Processors. The Processor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient processing of materials necessary to meet customer orders. This role requires the unloading and reloading of materials and performing various tasks along the production line to prepare materials for shipment.
Job Duties:
- Unload materials in preparation for processing and reload materials upon completion.
- Perform specific functions assigned as part of the material processing, such as:
- Pocketer: Gluing kits into books according to process codes.
- Sizer: Measuring each book with a ruler and fitting a plastic jacket to each book.
- Inserter: Inserting dust covers into a plastic jacket; applying protection tapes to books without dust covers.
- Gluer: Applying glues or tapes to jackets onto books according to process codes.
- Biller: Managing paperwork and conducting quality checks on books.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance, showing punctuality.
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.
- Be open to cross-training and substituting tasks that may be of higher classification, as required by supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Finger dexterity and the ability to measure and read a ruler.
- Strong ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions, accurately count, and possess good eyesight.
- Flexibility to make safe decisions when handling materials and adapt to changing work environments.
- Effective communication skills, with a respectful attitude towards co-workers and adherence to rules, policies, and standards of conduct.
- Ability to work in a production environment that may experience varied temperatures and conditions, including noise (conveyor), dust, and exposure to glue or adhesives.
- Physical capability to stand/walk for 10-hour shifts, frequently bend, lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and push book trucks weighing several hundred pounds.
Hours:
1 st Shift: 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday Thursday If mandatory overtime is required, hours would be Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
Pay: $12/hr
