Support The Stand-Up Of A Complex Program
¤ Responsible For Identifying Operational Testing Needs And Executing Strategic Planning Initiatives For Creating A Safe And Efficient Shop Floor Testing Environment
¤ Work In Parallel With Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental Safety & Health And Production Operations
¤ Create Manufacturing Test Engineering Statement Of Work Contractual Requirements
¤ Interface With Shop Floor Management & Shop Floor Personnel To Help Troubleshoot And Resolve Vehicle Test Issues And Implement Process Improvements To Increase Efficiency
¤ Create Shop Aid Tooling, Analyze Shop Floor Performance And Support The Quality Organization In Root Cause Analysis And Corrective Action Activities For Process-Related Defects
Required experience:
• Testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems such as:
o fuel systems, pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, electrical
• Acting as Test Conductor/ Director for air vehicle testing
• Authoring air vehicle system (fuel, hydraulic, electrical, etc.) test procedures and plans
• Identification and operation of specialized test equipment
• Wire harness and interconnect installation/ integration
• Aircraft Sub-systems assembly and integration
• work instruction authoring and work planning
• Hands-on production floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)
• Hands-on experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE), such as hydraulic mules, power carts, cooling air carts, etc.
• Knowledge of common airworthiness, Quality, and manufacturing requirements for air vehicle validation
• Ability to develop testing setups with little direction or information
Desired experience:
• Experience and knowledge of typical Flight Line operations and ground support activities
• Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment
• Ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical audiences
• Development/ protype/ first article program support
• Jet engine integration
• Jet engine service and maintenance familiarity
• Ability to determine the required regression testing during air vehicle rework, maintenance, or troubleshooting
• conducting Safety Briefs/Huddles prior to testing in order to ensure team safety, FOD compliance, and efficiency during test events
• Ability to understand aircraft system operation to an IPT level for all air vehicle systems
• Experience testing protype air vehicles
• Strong knowledge of all phases of manufacturing
• Manufacturing Engineer type role previously held
• 3DX and Catia V5 software usage
• STEM type degree
• Testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems such as: fuel systems, pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, electrical (wire harness and interconnect, sensors)
• Authoring air vehicle sub-system (fuel, hydraulic, electrical, etc.) test procedures, work instructions and plans for validation of air vehicle and meeting airworthiness requirements
• Experience with aircraft sub-systems assembly and vehicle integration operations
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (such as pneumatic test equipment, multimeter, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers) and vehicle Ground Support Equipment (GSE), such as hydraulic mules, power carts, cooling air carts, etc.
