Maintenance Technician
**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING FACILITY**
1st shift is 7am-3pm
Pay rate is $22.40-$29.00/hr based on experience
This position is in Wauseon, OH
This is a direct hire position

Summary
This position is at a manufacturing facility. You must have knowledge of equipment associated with metal fabrications such as progressive die stamping, component assembly, welding, and cleaning/deburring operations.

Essential Functions:

1. Machine repair
2. Preventative Maintenance
3. Installation of new equipment

Marginal Functions:

1. Clean up
2. Mow lawn or shovel snow

Machine Repair

• Communicates with operator
• Identifies problem-mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic
• Disassembles machinery to be repaired using hoists, or forklift with boom and/ or tool cart
• Fabricates new part, rebuilds old part or orders new part
• Reassembles machinery using hoists, forklift with boom and/ or tool cart
• Documents repair

Preventative Maintenance

• Grease/ oil machinery
• Inspect equipment (look over machine for global assessment)
• If necessary, may need to disassemble and reassemble machinery for repairs
• Replace filters

Install New Equipment

• Prepare site for installation (read and follow blueprints)
• Layout site using blueprints as a guide
• Maneuver new equipment to site using forklift, forklift with boom, tool cart, or hoist
• Complete electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic connections

Number of People Available to Perform the Job

• Will vary based on production level requirements with generally 2 3 people working first shift and cover other shifts on an on call basis unless an additional off shift position is added based on need.

Cognitive Considerations

• Must be able to quickly evaluate and problem solve. Must be able to read gauges, blueprints and make correct calculations and measurements. Needs excellent awareness of safety precautions.

Physical Requirements:

• May need to crawl or maneuver to access damaged machinery or buildings and all proper safety devices and precautions must be used.
• Seeing to insure good sight for measurements, repairs, installations, fluid levels, etc.
• Walking throughout plant to get to work area with required tools/tool box
• Reaching to install or repair components or equipment
• Finger dexterity and tool handling operate power tools, hand tools
• Stoop and bend for installations and repairs
• Climbing use of ladders to get to work level for repair or installation area
