Nesco Resource is looking for a Production Supervisor within a production environment using centerless grinding equipment.
Schedule: Monday- Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $25.00-$32.00/hour, depending on experience
Position Overview:
Responsible for setup, running, and inspecting all simple to complex production products per setup sheet or work instruction, meeting specifications, completing paperwork using GDP, safe practices, and coaching & overseeing operators within the assigned area/shift. This position is an extension of the production supervisor and will need to address behavioral concerns along with production issues.
Responsibilities:
- Complete applicable job paperwork and daily production report outs.
- Oversee and coach other operators to effectively.
- Complete work with a focus on quality and minimal scrap, NCMRs, and paperwork errors with the ability to determine cause or potential causes.
- Provide training on medium to high complexity of production tasks due to extensive process knowledge.
- Facilitate Start of Shift and End of Shift meetings.
- Schedule operators on multiple workstations throughout the shift/team in the assigned cell.
- Hold team accountable and address issues that may affect production quality and efficiency such as keeping team on task, off phones, and minimizing distractions.
- Report, assist, and lead resolution on quality and equipment issues.
- Run and/inspect newly developed processes that are less defined.
- Communicate to engineers on real-time issues to better get the issues resolved.
- Assist with general process improvements (e.g., 5S, scrap issues, setup sheet improvements).
- Maintain productivity by addressing process questions, ensuring priorities are followed and ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operator I or equivalent.
- Experience with centerless grinder/grinding, CNC programming, CNC Grinding.
- Willingness to work overtime due to business needs ~5 hrs/week
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimal supervisor.
- Take initiate by looking for additional work in downtime situations as well as looking for multi-tasking opportunities to improve productivity.
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturing.
- Use of optical inspection equipment. This may be defined as a magnifier, microscope, and/or equipment used for measuring capacity.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Utilize QCBD for data collection, document retrieving, training, create NCMRs, process deviations, etc.
- Ability to effectively train and coach others. Ability to facilitate small and large group meetings.
- Use of optical inspection equipment. This may be defined as a magnifier, microscope, and/or equipment used for measuring capacity.
- Ability to read and understand setup sheets and work instructions.
- Ability to do repetitive work for long periods of time while maintaining quality and throughput.
- Ability to run and/or inspect newly developed processes that are less defined.
- Proficient using Excel to input data.
