Description:
Line Mechanics are responsible for the efficient operation of bottling lines; responsible for anticipating and communicating relevant issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for all line changeovers, preventative maintenance, repairs, machine installations and upgrades as well as facility wide maintenance.
o Understand and comply with maintenance safety requirements of position; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Ensure equipment is repaired in a safe and efficient manner. Report safety concerns, accidents and near misses immediately. Participate in safety inspections and accident investigations. Keep workplace clean and free of debris at all times. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
o Create a personal development plan with assistance of Maintenance Supervisor to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance. Improve at least one skill each year as agreed with supervisor. Deliver on performance against outcomes. Continuously improve the quality of maintenance processes and services; and the culture in which we work.
o Continuously improve the quality of maintenance processes, products, services and the culture in which we work. Continually seek ways to improve performance by ensuring efficient line changeovers, timely preventative maintenance and repairs. Provide world class customer service by maintaining machinery and grounds to the highest standards. Actively engage in keeping work area and facility grounds up to the established standards. Performance will be measured by KPIs and the Culture survey. Own the standard operating procedures for all maintenance processes.
o Provide input to improve equipment capabilities and efficient line changeovers and maintenance; work with team to move forward new initiatives. Coordinate work with other departments to maintain product quality and line speed without sacrificing safety or customer demand.
o Understand and work with established maintenance standards to deliver the highest and most consistent levels of excellent customer service.
o Recommend ideas to reduce costs; regularly improve maintenance efficiency while meeting all budgetary constraints. Minimize downtime and maximize efficiency to improve waste. Adopt annual maintenance plans to reduce costs without sacrificing quality. Work with Maintenance Supervisor in reviewing and modifying current processes to support bottling schedules, achieve planning goals and optimize efficiency.

MUST
o Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
o Good vision and manual dexterity.
o High School diploma or GED equivalent
o Strong interpersonal skills
o 12 months Continuous growth in each position
o 3 years relevant experience (minimum)
o Requires Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
o Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required.
PREFERRED:
o Apprenticeship program, technical school, or Associates Degree
o Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required.
o Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
o Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
o Strong communication skills
o Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
o Ability to work with vibration from a specific tool
o Noise level at work station is loud (metal can manufacturing, large earth moving equipment)
o Ability to pay attention to detail
o In-person job attendance
o Ability to work 8 hour shift
o Ability to work overtime if necessary
