- Injection Mold Process Technician
- Akron, OH
- $20-$25/hour
- 1 st shift 6am -230pm
- 3 rd shift 10pm-630am ( $1/hr shift differential)
- Contract to Hire or Direct Hire opportunity
As the Injection Mold Process Technician you will be responsible for all aspects of the molding process including mold setups and tending to injection mold and secondary equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Start up and shut down of machine as needed due to scheduling repairs or emergencies.
- Responsible for documenting mold changes and machine adjustments including troubleshooting.
- Makes effective processing decisions and documentation (cause/effect).
- Works with quality/production departments to ensure molded components meet requirements.
- Systematic checks of machine parameters including all temperatures, part weight, cycle times, etc.
- Follow 5S requirements for designated work area.
- Ordering raw plastic to ensure machine will run throughout shift.
- Ensures safe working practices are followed and improved when possible.
- Support of new mold samples, streamlining of processes for better efficiencies.
- 2-5 Years injection molding experience
- Previous experience as a Process Technician
- Previous experience with Toshiba, Arburg, Engel, robotic interfaces a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Good math skills.
- Detail oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
