Job title: Working Production Lead
Location: Westlake, OH
Shift: 2nd (noon to 9 pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays as needed)
Salary: $20 to $21 an hour
Duties:
- Work with Production Supervisor and Plant Manager to lead 20 associates
- Coach and counsel associates as needed
- Motivate team in a positive and productive manor
- Work with Production Supervisor and Plant Manager to lead 20 associates
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Start/Stop machines or equipment to begin/end production processes.
- Observe equipment/operators operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
- Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
- Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
- Separate products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials used to produce them.
- Dump materials such as prepared ingredients into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
- Mix ingredients according to specified procedures or formulas.
- Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Perferred Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Ability to lead a team
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Prior lead or supervisor experience
- Must be able to read and understand instructions and possess basic arithmetic skills.
- Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform duties.
- Must be a team player and able to work well with others.
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening process
- High School Diploma/GED
