Production Scheduler

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team! In this role, you will be at the heart of our operations, working closely with various departments to ensure production runs smoothly and on time. If you enjoy problem-solving, coordinating schedules, and keeping everything on track, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Schedule Management: Prepare and maintain production schedules, coordinating efforts between production, service, and engineering to meet deadlines.
  • Resource Optimization: Direct work and offer suggestions for parallel efforts to maximize efficiency during busy periods.
  • Collaboration: Attend job release meetings to review the Scope of Work (SOW), making recommendations for timelines and lead times.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Review service orders, collaborate with departments, and communicate schedule changes to customer service teams.
  • Prioritization: Support urgent customer needs by managing re-prioritization requests and communicating with the relevant teams.
  • Capacity Planning: Understand and monitor departmental capacity to ensure resources are efficiently utilized.
  • Decision-Making: Make informed scheduling decisions, confidently handling challenges without immediate supervision.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Experience: An associate’s degree or technical certificate is required, with 3-5 years of related experience. A Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic to intermediate skills in Excel-based scheduling tools.
    • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with Microsoft Navision is preferred).
    • Experience with implementing ERP systems is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering drawings.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of shipping terms and practices is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage and adjust schedules with precision.
