The Safety Director plays a critical leadership role in managing the company’s safety operations and ensuring compliance with top-tier safety standards. Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 | Bonus Eligible
Location: Chemung County, NY
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the safety department team, ensuring effective execution of corporate safety initiatives.
- Work with the safety team to develop and implement new safety protocols and programs to uphold the company’s leadership in the industry.
- Be the company representative for all safety and risk meetings
- Collaborate with HR and accounting to evaluate and manage workers’ compensation claims.
- Stay up to date on OSHA regulations and ensure ongoing compliance, adjusting strategies as needed to align with industry changes.
- Plan and lead quarterly safety meetings across divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational safety goals.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and guiding teams toward a shared vision of safety excellence.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism, capable of representing the company with integrity at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make proactive decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to staying current with evolving safety standards and best practices.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to evaluate safety data and develop actionable strategies for continuous improvement.
- 10 years of experience in safety manager/leadership position
- OSHA Certified
