AWS Security Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract to Hire
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on AWS security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with SIEM tools and AWS logging services.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, etc.)
• Experience with setting AWS security standards / guardrails (SCPs, high level security policies, remote access procedures, IAM, etc..)
• Experience in integrating AWS into the security stack (Wiz, Sentinel, etc…)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• AWS Certified Security specialty or similar certifications preferred.
• Experience with network design and security within AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
