JOB DUTIES
- Perform various welding tasks within the manufacturing industry using both Mig and Tig.
- Work on welding projects involving multiple metals, including copper, stainless steel, and aluminum bronze.
- Work with different welding techniques, understand welding safety procedures, and work consistently, quickly, and accurately without compromising quality and production standards.
- Design, cut, and permanently join copper and/or aluminum parts using appropriate welding techniques, high-heat equipment, and welding processes such as MIG, TIG, laminate, electric arc welding, and silver solder.
- Perform complex welding operations, including electrical and delta systems and steel mill rework/fabrication for mast arms.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and adhering to safety protocols.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, wearing appropriate protective gear and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain accurate work records, including materials used and time spent on assigned tasks.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 plus years of both Mig and Tig welding
- Have advance knowledge of reading production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpretation and translation of engineering designs and documentation.
- Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions and work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and blueprint and welding symbols, including qualifying for pipe welding and ability to pass the Aluminum Coupon Test.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
- Frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds without help.
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational school with certification in welding preferred.
- Tow motor and crane/rigging experience preferred.
