Job description
- Maintain a high standard for safety, workmanship, product quality and productivity
- Operate CNC Lathes and Mills to produce various items used in the manufacture of products
- Setup and operate various toolroom equipment in order to produce dies, fixtures, and tooling
- Design, build, rework, maintain, and repair all forms of tooling using available equipment and resources
- Work from design prints, sketches, sample parts and oral instructions
- Able to validate all fabricated items.
- Determine the best method to produce required results in an efficient and timely manner
- Works independently as well as a team member depending on the task at hand
- Effectively communicates with others and shares technical expertise
- Maintain accurate documentation of tool modifications, repair, and maintenance on fixtures, dies, and tools
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 5 years of tool and die making or tooling machinist experience
- Proficiency in operating all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
- Ability to program computer controlled toolroom equipment
- Above average knowledge of computers using MS products
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld is a plus but not required
- Use of all inspection measurement equipment standard in the tool making industry
- Read, understand, and follow specifications and prints
- High School Diploma or GED
