Summary:
Performs shipping functions, along with the appropriate transactions to maintain accurate shipping data in the ERP system.
- Duties are generally prioritized in conformance with written instructions, established schedules, and predetermined priorities, allowing employees to perform independently with intermittent close supervision.
- Packing and shipping customer orders and checking for no damages for customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and be able to learn our PC Software
- Strong interpersonal communications and be able to solve problems
- Capable of shipping through Fed Ex, UPS and common carriers
- Loading/unloading trucks and moving material to correct locations with the use of material handling equipment (forklift and pallet jack)
- Completing routing paperwork on a daily basis and maintaining an organized filing system for all shipments.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in the warehouse and capable of ordering warehouse supplies when needed
- Communicates and listens effectively in a professional & courteous manner
- Organized, adaptable, professional and able to follow instructions
- Demonstrate basic working knowledge of company services to assist staff with various functions
- Must be able to lift and open packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Contributes to a positive, healthy and safe work environment. Work in compliance with OSHA and MSDS safety policies
- Demonstrate understanding of ERP system as it relates to shipping
- Occasionally assist receiving associate with outgoing material

Qualifications:

- 0-3 years of industry experience or equivalent is required
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
