Elevator Mechanics (4 needed) Candidate must have an NYS Elevator Mechanics license and an NYC Elevator Agency Technician License in good standing.
The nature of this job requires an individual should be familiar with different types of elevator and/or crane equipment including but not limited to : Galaxy , Peelle, T hyssen Krupp, MCE , Otis, and Alimak or Kone, Shawbox and Yale.
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a NYC elevator agency inspector license and QEI inspector certification .
Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, prints, and drawings.
Candidate must know the theory and workings of AC and DC motors, basic circuits, series circuits, and parallel circuits.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments is a must .
Must understand brakes, their adjustment, and timing. Must understand bearings, theory, and proper lubricatio n.
Will be required to perform standard ANSI/ASME inspections and maintenance functions on elevators, cranes, and hoists.
Knowledge and skill are required in the following areas: safe work practices, use of hand and power tools, rigging, troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical equipment, and environmental policies and procedures.
The selected candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, as required.
Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills are required for frequent interaction with internal and external customers. Must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.

Selected candidates must be capable of lifting 45-60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to walk, climb, and stand extensively, and must be medically approved to wear a respirator and all required protective equipment
Selected candidates m ust be comfortable with working at height s, must be able to work a rotating shift, and may be required to work overtime and off-hour shifts, as needed.
Ensures that all work is being performed in an effective and efficient manner.
