Technical Senior Operator
Permanent Full Time Position
$26-$28 hourly rate


This position is expected to be able to receive training then operate and troubleshoot automated equipment. Expect to resolve complex problems as well as suggesting and implementing ideas for improvement. Serves as active team member when is necessary, working with projects and training new people. Able to step into all roles within Production department based on production needs.

Key Accountabilities:
During Production:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
1. Learn to run high speed manufacturing equipment.
2. Start up and shut down of baggers, flow wrappers, case packers, etc.
3. Ability to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning
4. Independently perform Tooling changing overs and start up
5. Run the first perfect pieces, first evaluations for enrober machine for Caramel, WF and MC, moisture checks for pretzels (use moister meter).
6. Inform QA technicians when every machine and the line is ready for the first evaluation.
7. Perform the change overs, coach new employees, develop and implement new process in the production area.
Senior Operators will be expected to run all lines including Packaging, Wet and Kitchen
Senior Operators are expected to be support to all Processing Operators
Expected to have flexibility in schedule for purpose of shutdowns and restarts
Ensure all equipment is clean at the end of each shift, along with all surrounding areas
Demonstrates the ability to advocate for Safety in the workplace
Able to read and understand production schedule, reports, and materials requirements
Able to step into all roles within Production department based on production needs
Assure that all the procedures are followed for clean area in the company. This includes Kitchen, Enrobing and Packaging.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, and properly put back together
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
Follow all GMP'S
All other duties assigned

Essential Criteria:
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Adheres to the allergen programs
Ability to read and speak basic English
Adhere to all GMP programs
Maintain records, communicate and correct out of control machine settings
Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements
Ability to use basic tools efficiently and make proper mechanical adjustments
Willingness to work in a fast environment
Wear all required protective equipment
Ability to follow and set a prime example for following Food and Safety guidelines

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years of experience working for the company in a prior Packaging and or Processing position.
Minimum 1 year experience working with tools and troubleshooting knowledge running 4 lines
