1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm (MON-FRI)
$1,000 sign on bonus after 90-days (based on performance/attendance)
SUMMARY
Responsible for: Operates assigned equipment used in executing metal finishing operations by performing the following duties.
Activities Includes the following.
- Loads and unloads tote pans of parts, stacks parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, racks, unracks, cleans, etches, desmuts, pickles, bright –dips dyes, degreases, heat treats, plates, coats, wet processes and dries parts. Uses electric hoists and manual lifting.
- Following prescribed procedures for processing.
- Fills baskets, racks, and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lowers material into appropriate tank.
- Removes parts when process is completed.
- Maintains cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
- Monitors temperature of solutions.
- Maintains daily production logs.
- Physically inspects processing to ensure quality of product.
- May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance and record keeping as needed.
- May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
- Is responsible for quality of product produced.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate*** and percent.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school or general education degree (GED); or equivalent months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a basic understanding of chemistry as it applies to the job, and the ability to solve problems.
- Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds Regularly.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The contractors are required to wear steel or composite toe safety shoes and long sleeves.
- Pre employment drug test and background check is required
