Director – Accounting
Salary Range: $175K
Location: 80% Hybrid (flexible work schedule)
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (required)
- Licensure: CPA or CIA licensure (required)
- Experience: 10 years of relevant public accounting experience, with a preference for individuals with nonprofit expertise. Non- Profit Experience is a Must.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and relevant compliance standards
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Tax is a plus
Responsibilities:
As a Director, you will lead and manage key client relationships and ensure high-quality assurance engagements. This role offers significant leadership opportunities, including mentoring staff and playing a central role in client development. Specific responsibilities include:
- Leading assurance engagements from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and reviewing workpapers and deliverables
- Serving as the primary client contact, presenting financial data to boards and providing expert guidance on financial matters
- Mentoring and developing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment
- Supporting firm-wide growth initiatives, such as marketing efforts and business development activities
