Job Description
The Transducer Assembly Technician is responsible for preparing and assembling the force-measuring transducers.
Experience Needed:
- Ability to read Blueprint/Wiring Schematics
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
- Ability to follow and understand procedures and work instructions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use hands for precision soldering of very small parts under a microscope
- Working knowledge of computers
- Prior electronics assembly experience is a plus
- Prior soldering experience is a plus
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare transducer bodies for strain gage placement and bonding using sandblaster and
- various cleaning agents
- Marking transducer blanks to ensure gages are precisely placed in the required position and
- orientation
- Precise adhesive bonding of the strain gage and wiring tab to marked transducer blanks
- Perform high-quality point to point soldering on small assemblies
- Perform quality checks on finished assemblies
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe work environment
