Job Description:

  • Responsible for production and supply chain functions to deliver high quality products while maintaining a low cost to manufacture.
  • Partner with HR in recruitment efforts and retain talent at the Ithaca site though employee development.
  • Collaborate with C suite and leaders to drive profitable growth at the Ithaca facility
  • Provide regular reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually pertaining to delivery, cost, quality, and working capital of the Ithaca site. Will make sure that departments are hitting their budgetary goals.
  • Establish metrics to clearly define and measure productivity for each department
  • Work with leadership team to help with integration between multiple facilities, and collaborate on new products and ways to improve operations.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing principles and develop effective methods to measure and track progress pertaining to improving yield, uptime, and cycle time.
  • Assist with quality audits to make sure company is following ISO standards
Requirements:
  • Proven success scaling businesses to profitability
  • Familiarity with ISO certification processes and requirements
  • Strong executive presence, clear communicator, able to lead through influence
  • Previous experience within the optical industry including fabrication, testing, and coating highly preferred
  • Background in Kaizen event planning, root cause analysis, manufacturing planning, and process control
  • Previous experience migrating from a legacy ERP to a new one is a nice to have, but not required

Technical Skills:
  • Previous experience utilizing an ERP System (i.e. MS Dynamics, Epicor, etc..)
  • Previous CRM experience (i.e. Zoho, Hubspot, Salesforce, etc...)
  • Statistical Analysis software (i.e. JMP, Minitab)
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...)
Experience & Education:
  • 10 years' experience in operations management, concentrating on process improvements and turning businesses around
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or other Technology related fields
