Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Operations
Reports To: Department Supervisor
Pay: Starts at $17.00/hr
Shift: A and B Shifts Available
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support production operations. This includes operating machinery to produce, package, and ship products in accordance with work order specifications. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, team-oriented, and accountable, capable of meeting production targets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines for dye sublimation, flatbed printing, packaging, and shipping.
- Ensure products meet quality standards, including books, cards, calendars, and other printed materials.
- Adhere to production timelines and customer service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely delivery.
- Follow safety guidelines and participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Assist supervisors and area leads in daily production tasks and problem-solving.
- Work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Accurately maintain timecards and production records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced industrial setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of machinery and comprehend written and oral work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn new skills, and provide assistance in other areas as needed.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Ability to bend, stand, and move for extended periods.
- Hearing ability sufficient for communication and machine operation.
