Maintenance Technician
Responsible for ensuring that assigned equipment is operating and maintained and performs building/facility maintenance. Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks.
2nd Shift 2-2-3 schedule, every other weekend off
Hourly Rate $28-$34, plus overtime
Permanent Full Time Position
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:
· Responsible for assigned equipment to meet/exceed operating standards in areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity as well as minimizing downtime
· Support Production and operators to ensure equipment runs as scheduled
· Perform PM's on assigned machines to ensure that they run at their maximum capacity through cleaning, lubricating, belt replacement, changing filters, bearings, etc
· Make routine repairs to electrical, pneumatic, and servo driven equipment
· Participate on special projects as required
· Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, on time and in accordance with Company guidelines
· Communicates with employees, including the proper and safe utilization of equipment
· Able to work alone or as a team member
· Follows all GMP and safety rules and procedures
Skills and Experience:
· 5-10 years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing
· Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical breakdowns in industrial machinery
· 3-phase electrical experience
· Experience with VFD, PLC, and servo motors
· Facility maintenance, including plumbing and electrical work
· Experience with conveyor systems, scales, and packaging equipment
· Working with common hand and power tools
· Working with precision measuring instruments, electrical testing devices
· Time management
· Microsoft Office and Outlook
· Logging work electronically in CMMS system
Desirable Criteria:
· Have personal tools for work including rolling toolbox/cart. Some special tools will be furnished.
· Understanding of Lock Out Tag Out procedures
· Experience in rebuilding centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
· Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints
· TIG Welding
· Machining – mill/lathe
Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· HACCP (Food Safety) and Food Quality (desirable but not required)
Personal Attributes:
· Strong communicator
· Able to build interpersonal relationships with production machine operators and staff
