In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for employees and HR professionals, providing expert guidance on leave programs, including FMLA, ADAAA, and state and federal leave laws. You'll be a cornerstone in ensuring that team members receive the support they need during life's critical moments, all while contributing to the organization's success.
What You'll Do:
- Be the Expert: Manage FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, Military, and other leave programs as the go-to subject matter expert.
- Provide Support: Guide employees and management teams through the leave process with clarity and compassion.
- Ensure Compliance: Leverage your knowledge of employment laws to safeguard the organization's compliance and mitigate risk.
- Streamline Processes: Partner with third-party administrators and maintain accurate records in the HRIS system.
- Educate and Train: Lead new hire orientation sessions on leave policies and reimbursement programs.
- Collaborate: Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of issues.
What You'll Bring:
- 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in workforce absence management or claims administration.
- A solid understanding of state leave laws, FMLA, ADAAA, HIPAA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- A high school diploma or GED (higher education or certifications are a plus).
