Bid Coordinator

  • Review bid invitations, project specifications, and plans to determine project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for glass materials, labor, and associated costs.
  • Compile and submit bid proposals within specified deadlines.
  • Work closely with sales, project management, and engineering teams to gather necessary information for bids.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and lead times for materials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to clarify project requirements and address inquiries.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and competitor pricing to develop competitive bids.
  • Track the status of bids and provide regular updates to management.
  • Prepare reports on bid outcomes and feedback to improve future submissions.
  • Ensure all bid documentation complies with client requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain organized records of all bids, proposals, and related correspondence.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a bidding, estimating, or project coordination role, MUST be in the glass or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with estimating software or tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of glass products, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with CRM or project management software.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
