Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm (overtime until 4:30pm based upon production needs)
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Operates and monitors processes throughout the plant that are used in the production of good quality parts. Tends to a work center performing a range of machining, assembly, and inspection operations in a continuous production process. Emphasis is put on following work instructions, process controls to produce good quality components through all parts of the production process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Verifies conformance of machined and assembled parts to specification; inspects first-run piece and spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications in accordance with control plans using inspection gauges.
- Continue conformance to specifications by periodically recording dimensions on Process Audit Sheets or plotting and interpreting statistical data on graphs.
- Record production and quality data in accordance with quality standards.
- Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities.
- Loads and unloads parts on stockers and assembles components as necessary.
- May perform or assist in changeover procedure.
- Follows production/process specifications or instructions of technical personnel.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- maintains general housekeeping in work area and throughout the plant.
- Adhere to MIOSHA standards, follow QMS, EMS systems while performing work.
- Labeling boxes
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- GED minimal education requirement.
- Machine Shop knowledge preferred.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Capability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides all units of measure. Performs the four operations with like common and decimal fractions. Computes ratio, rate and percents.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
