Shift: 3rd shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Sunday-Thursday with overtime on the weekends
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Operator C's will be responsible for soldering small parts such as circuits, transformers, sockets, and other electronic components. Good manual dexterity is required to position, align, and place components for circuit boards, which must be within IPC 610 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track machine performance and effective communication with management as problems arise.
  • Interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure product quality.
  • Responsible for accessing company procedures and navigating shop floor controls.
  • Follow practices to ensure ISO standards are being met.
  • Replace damaged, missing, and misplaced components utilizing hand soldering operation.
  • Mount components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits and sockets on panels or printed circuit board.
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining cleanliness of the re-work area.
  • Assess and ensure tolerance of frequency and temperatures based on customer provided specifications.
  • Report any non-conformance or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel for further investigation.
  • Work with small components to include SMT, Thru Hole and Etch Caps with an ability to use microscopes.
  • This position will be responsible for filling in roles of Operator A & Operator B as needed and must be able to perform all aspects of the Operator A & B job description.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Required:
  • Available to train on 1st shift for first few weeks
  • Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components.
  • Must be able to properly clean boards.
  • Strong dexterity to properly use soldering irons and will include exposure to heat.
  • Able to perform basic soldering and rework of SMT components.
  • Able to perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies.
  • Able to perform re-work for Thru Hole Components.
  • Able to interpret IPC standards for 610/7711 and acceptability along with meeting customer specifications.
  • Must be familiar with and able to use hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
  • Perform house-keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and written with coworkers and management.
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze data and resolve defects as required.
  • Continuously improve testing function
  • A self-starter with good organizational skills and analytical skills with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma

Preferred:
  • 3-5 Years as SMT Operator or Rework Operator
  • Valid IPC Certification or previously certified

Occupational Exposures:
  • Regularly Required: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers
  • May involve continuous or repetitive reaching with hands and arms.
  • An Employee is required to lift 1 to 10 pounds constantly
  • An employee may be required to lift 10 to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Employee may lift up to 50 pounds on rare occasions.
  • An employee may be required to twist at the waist.
  • Exposure to soldering paste, hot soldering irons, solder pots and other chemicals as necessary.
